No More Slide Issues! New Travel Trailer!

If you have been following my blog! You would see that we had a number of issues with our then brand new 2014 Coachman Freedom Express!

After so many problems with the slide! Truly a designer flaw.  With the last repair having welded arms on for support.  Giant Recreation world in Winter garden Florida (Where we bought it) did the warranty work on the slide this time.

When we finally got it back after waiting for new slide parts to come in.  We went to pick it up, and it was sitting right out front waiting for us.  We went in to sign it out, and they could not find our keys.  Took about an hour to find them, while this was going on, I had hubby out checking the slide, and when I got out there, he said, its a mess. I took a look and the repair was not up to my standards. It was plain to see the welded arms sticking out under the couch,  The floor was still bowed up where the slide uprooted the floor, the trim on the inside of the slide was not reattached,  And on the out side, we went to see if it was seated even on both sides.  Well, It was not, it was out of alignment.

After they finally found the keys, My husband said, well, this is it, We are done with this trailer, the slide will be a continued problem after the warranty expires next month.

So what did we do?  We left there and took it to Camping world and traded it for a 2016 Keystone Bullet 243bhs.

It's only 5 feet longer than our 19 foot one and we love it. It has double bunks for the grand kids. And the Slide has Airline cables on both sides of the slide to support it. I'm used to these from our Pop up. So I know they are strong. And totally loving the outdoor kitchen. As I do all our cooking out side! Now we don't have to carry all the extra grills.

Above is a from the entertainment center in front of the Queen walk around bed. Looking to the Large U shaped dinette. Bathroom with but and shower, Full size bunks, Kitchen.

Other direction towards the Entertainment center and Queen walk around bed. And door on the Right front. This one has the sliding doors in the bedroom. 32 inch TV in the living room and one behind it in the bedroom.  Ducted air is the way to go. Works so much better than the standard AC. And this one is 15000 BTU the other one was only 13000 BTU and standard and struggled to keep up with the Florida heat. This one will freeze you out.

We have thoroughly enjoyed this Travel trailer this past year.  We camped 2 times at Anastasia State park in Saint Augustine.   And several times at Sebastian Inlet.

We really need to expand our camping places. But this year is already booked.  First trip is coming up at Fort Desoto!

More to come!
